What is the future of our human body?
We have all heard about replacement hips, prosthetics and even knee joints. All these artificial body parts are increasingly being adopted and they are mostly for medical reasons. Having technology be part of our human body is becoming more commonplace so much so it seems that some artificial enhancements, may seem unnecessary. Can there be a case of enhancing ‘functionality’ that is too much?
Hence I decided to create a speculative product to invite dialogue about these boundaries, to inspire debate about whether we should replace the natural with the artificial when everything seems better about it. And at which point, can we say that the artificial is better than what we were born with?
