Sentient
by Lim Yu Ting, Zephanie
With the ease of access to data and rapid improvements in data analytics, technology is increasingly involved in predicting our behavioural patterns and making decisions for us that directly impact our everyday lives. However, technology can continue to have an impact even after we die.
This project, entitled Sentient, explores if technology and data should be allowed to represent us and make decisions for us. To what extent and in which realms of life? What are the ethical and cultural implications of this? Are the future generations who will be growing up with such technology more open to accepting this?
